Performance Showcase is proud to present the San Francisco premiere of Lesson Plan, a film by Philip Neel that documents “The Third Wave,” spoken word artist Ron Jones’ legendary 1967 history class lesson at Cubberly High School in Palo Alto. The full story of this controversial class experiment in Fascism has never before been told. The filmmaker and Ron Jones, as well as several students from the original history class, will be present to answer questions from the audience and the evening will include performances by composers David Denny and Kathy Peck accompanied by pianist Frederick Harris, with songs and music from the musical, “The Wave”.
